INTRODUCTION
. For instance, the volume of digital communication in Uzbekistan has seen remarkable growth, with internet users reaching 31 million by early 2024, representing an internet penetration rate of 86.8% [1]. Furthermore, the burgeoning e-commerce sector in Uzbekistan, which experienced a 2.5-fold increase in turnover in 2023 compared to the previous year, reaching 17.1 trillion soums [2], relies heavily on clear yet often implicitly understood language in product descriptions, customer service interactions, and marketing campaigns. Such rapid expansion in communicative landscapes necessitates a deeper academic and practical engagement with pragmatic phenomena like implicature to ensure clarity and avoid misinterpretations that could lead to economic inefficiencies or social misunderstandings. Despite the growing recognition of the role of implied meaning in effective communication, several challenges persist in fully harnessing the power of implicature, particularly in diverse linguistic and cultural settings like Uzbekistan. One significant problem is the underestimation of contextual factors in interpreting communicative intent, often leading to misinterpretations in both spoken dialogues and written texts, such as official documents or online exchanges. For example, a recent survey indicated that approximately 35% of customer complaints in online retail in Uzbekistan stemmed from misinterpretations of product descriptions or service terms, often involving implicitly conveyed information [3]. Moreover, while theories of implicature provide robust frameworks, their practical application in language education and professional training often lags, resulting in communication breakdowns that impede efficient information transfer and foster misunderstandings across various sectors, from legal to business and public administration. H.P. Grice (1975) fundamentally reshaped linguistic inquiry by proposing the Cooperative Principle and its associated maxims (Quality, Quantity, Relevance, and Manner), thereby introducing the concept of conversational implicature and distinguishing between what is said and what is implicated [4]. Later, Stephen C. Levinson (1983) extensively elaborated on Griceβs theory, particularly distinguishing between generalized and particularized conversational implicatures, demonstrating how certain implicatures arise without specif
