INTRODUCTION
According to the State Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan, the number of English language learners in secondary schools increased by 15% between 2022 and 2023, reaching over 4.5 million students [1]. Furthermore, the demand for English language proficiency in the professional sphere continues to escalate, with job postings requiring advanced English skills growing by 20% in 2023 across sectors such as IT, tourism, and international trade [2]. Concurrently, the global market for English language education and resources is projected to reach USD 75 billion by 2027, driven by increasing globalization and the status of English as a lingua franca [3]. Despite significant advancements in teaching methodologies, a persistent challenge remains in equipping learners with the ability to both comprehend and appropriately employ these complex lexical units in various registers and contexts [4]. Many curricula in Uzbekistan, while strong on foundational grammar and vocabulary, often relegate phraseology to supplementary status, overlooking its critical role in conveying nuanced meaning, formality, and rhetorical effect [5]. Consequently, developing robust analytical frameworks and pedagogical strategies for the stylistic analysis of English phraseologisms is not merely an academic pursuit but a practical imperative to enhance linguistic proficiency in the modern educational landscape. Prominent figures like John Sinclair (2004) significantly advanced corpus linguistics, demonstrating how large text collections can reveal the habitual co-occurrence patterns of words, including phraseologisms, and their typical contexts of use, thereby shedding light on their semantic and pragmatic functions [6]. M.A.K. Halliday (1994), through his systemic functional linguistics, provided a framework for understanding how grammatical and lexical choices, including the use of fixed expressions, contribute to textual meaning and register variation, offering insights into the stylistic impact of phraseologisms [7]. Fernando, C. (1996) provided a comprehensive typology of idioms and phraseological units, categorizing them based on their semantic opacity and syntac
