INTRODUCTION
In Uzbekistan, the number of English language learners has experienced a substantial increase, with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education reporting over 6.5 million students engaged in English language education across all levels in 2023 [1]. This surge in interest is further underscored by the growing demand for qualified English language teachers, with the number of vacant positions for English teachers in general secondary schools reaching approximately 8,000 nationwide in 2022, according to the State Statistics Agency [2]. Concurrently, global English language learning platforms such as Duolingo and Babbel reported an aggregate user base exceeding 700 million globally in 2023, reflecting the widespread recognition of English as a critical global lingua franca for economic, scientific, and cultural exchange [3]. Despite the evident growth in English language education, several persistent challenges impede optimal learning outcomes, particularly concerning the design and implementation of effective exercise systems. A significant problem lies in the often-outdated methodologies employed in developing exercises, which frequently prioritize rote memorization and grammatical drills over communicative competence, leading to a disconnect between classroom learning and real-world language use [4]. Furthermore, there is a notable lack of systematized, contextually relevant exercise materials tailored to the specific linguistic and cultural background of Uzbek learners, resulting in lower engagement and less efficient acquisition of language skills [5]. The absence of comprehensive frameworks for evaluating the effectiveness of existing exercise systems also contributes to a cycle of trial-and-error without clear data-driven improvements, thereby necessitating a systematic investigation into how exercise systems can be optimized to enhance English language proficiency among Uzbek students [6]. H. Douglas Brown (2007) posited that effective language teaching involves balancing explicit grammar instruction with communicative practice, emphasizing the role of carefully structured exercises in facilitating this balance [7]. Stephen Krashen (1985) introduced the "input hypothesis," suggesting that language acquisition occurs through exposure to comprehensible input, which can be effectively delivered via well-designed exercises that are slightly
