INTRODUCTION
. In Uzbekistan, the national investment in digital infrastructure for education reached $150 million in 2023, reflecting a 25% increase compared to 2022, as reported by the Ministry of Digital Technologies [1]. This investment has facilitated the equipping of over 70% of public schools with broadband internet access and the distribution of more than 300,000 tablets to students and teachers nationwide, according to data from the Ministry of Public Education [2]. Concurrently, the global market for educational technology, including multimedia learning solutions, is projected to reach $600 billion by 2027, with a compound annual growth rate of 16.3% from 2020, emphasizing the pervasive shift towards technology-enhanced learning environments worldwide [3]. Despite the significant technological advancements and governmental initiatives in Uzbekistan, challenges persist in fully harnessing the potential of multimedia presentations to enhance language comprehension. A recent survey conducted by the Center for Educational Research found that only 45% of language teachers in Uzbekistan regularly integrate multimedia presentations into their lessons, often due to a lack of specific training in effective multimedia pedagogy and insufficient access to high-quality, contextually relevant digital content [4]. Furthermore, while infrastructure exists, the strategic implementation and evaluation of multimedia’s impact on specific language skills, such as listening comprehension and vocabulary acquisition, remain areas requiring more focused attention. The absence of standardized frameworks for integrating multimedia within the "Nutq koʻnikmari integratsiyasi" (integration of speech skills) curriculum means that current practices are often ad-hoc, leading to inconsistencies in pedagogical effectiveness and learner engagement across different educational institutions. This gap highlights the urgent need for comprehensive research to develop evidence-based strategies and recommendations for optimizing multimedia use in enhancing language comprehension, thereby addressing the existing inconsistencies and maximizing the returns on national digital education investments. Richard Mayer, a leading figure in the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning (CTML), demonstrated in his studies (e.g., Mayer, 2009) that learning is significantly enhanced when information is pr
