INTRODUCTION The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is fundamentally reshaping various sectors, with education emerging as a significant beneficiary and driver of this transformation. In Uzbekistan, the digital economy's growth is increasingly dependent on a skilled workforce, necessitating innovative approaches to education, particularly in foreign language acquisition. According to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, the number of students enrolled in English language programs across Uzbek universities increased by 18% between 2020 and 2023, reaching over 250,000 students [1]. Furthermore, a survey conducted by the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) indicated that proficiency in English is directly correlated with a 15-20% higher average income for young professionals in Tashkent [2]. Globally, the AI in education market was valued at approximately USD 2.1 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach USD 25.7 billion by 2032, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 32.1% [3]. This substantial market expansion underscores the global recognition of AI's potential to revolutionize learning environments and improve educational outcomes, making its integration into language pedagogy a critical area of focus. Despite growing investments in language education, challenges persist in achieving high levels of fluency and cultural competence among learners. Specifically, in Uzbekistan, issues such as large class sizes, limited access to native-speaker interactions, inconsistent teaching methodologies, and a lack of individualized feedback mechanisms impede effective foreign language acquisition [4]. AI-driven tools offer promising solutions to these persistent problems by enabling customized learning paths, providing real-time corrective feedback, and simulating immersive communicative environments. The timely exploration of AI's role is therefore crucial for addressing these pedagogical gaps, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of foreign language teaching, and ultimately preparing Uzbek learners to thrive in an interconnected global society.
